We don’t mark it up

The price is what our registrar charges us. We make our living on the WWC plan, not on your domain.

Common questions

Domain answers.

Do I need to buy a domain?

No. Every website gets a free address like yourbarn.westernwebco.com, and you can change the name anytime. Buy a domain when you want your own.

What does a domain cost?

What our registrar charges us, with no markup. A .com is $10.88 a year today. You see the first-year price and the renewal price before you buy.

Will it renew on its own?

Yes. Auto-renew is on by default and uses the card on file, so your website doesn’t go dark. You can turn it off for any domain.

Can I use a domain I already own?

Yes. Keep it where you bought it, add two records there, and WWC checks the connection for you. Connecting it is free.

Is my personal information private?

Yes. Privacy is on by default, so your name, address, and phone number stay out of the public domain records.

Can I use my domain for email?

WWC doesn’t host email, but you can add the records your email provider gives you, like Google Workspace, right in WWC.

Who owns the domain?

You do. It’s registered in your name, with a registrar lock so no one can move it without you.
